Monday’s Draftstars contest has a bit of a twist with there only being two games to choose from for the $4K contest. That means it might be a bit difficult to find variety but there are still plenty of good options for our lineups.

Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $4k+ Monday competition

Point Guard

Kyle Lowry ($16,300)

Fresh off an all-star starting snub, Kyle Lowry will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing performance against the Hornets with a matchup against the lowly Suns. Point guards are high-performing fantasy players and Lowry is the best one playing, he has to be part of your team.

Eric Bledsoe ($15,650)

Similar to Lowry, Bledsoe is one of the best point guards playing and he is also in career-best form. Despite the Suns being terrible, Bledsoe continues to shine every night, doing his all to carry his club. Against Lowry and the Raptors, Bledsoe will have his work cut out but should get plenty of possessions.

Shooting Guard

Will Barton ($10,550)

Inserted into the starting lineup due to the injury of Gary Harris, Will Barton has provided a scoring punch for the Denver Nuggets and is starting to show the form he showed last year as one of the best sixth men in the NBA. He faces the Wolves and there’s a chance this game will be the highest scoring match played in the NBA this year. Will will thrill.

Terrence Ross ($6,100)

The first of the much-needed value plays, Terrence Ross provides a spark plug off the bench night-in, night-out for the Raptors. His numbers don’t jump out at you off the page but once every few games he explodes. The Suns are the perfect team to explode against for Ross.

Small Forward

T.J. Warren ($8,950)

Warren is slowly starting to find his groove, having lost his momentum after a head injury which cost him 13 games earlier this season. However, against the Cavs, he showed signs of offensive life which indicates he might be finding his shooting stroke again. He is a key piece for the Suns and expect them to keep utilising him in the offense.

DeMarre Carroll ($8,300)

DeMarre Carroll has been struggling recently as he tries to recover from a neck injury but a matchup against the Suns might be the tonic that he needs. Carroll has struggled with various injuries since he moved to Toronto but come playoff time he is so crucial for the Raptors. Expect the Raptors to start trying to get him going.

Power Forward

Nikola Jokic ($13,450)

If Nikola Jokic played for a bigger team in a bigger market, he would be talked about as one of the best centres in the NBA and nearly a certain all-star. He will have his work cut out against Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves but Nikola is up to it. Just watch him do his thing.

Wilson Chandler ($11,050)

Whether he is the sixth man or starting power forward, Wilson Chandler is one of the most important members of the Nuggets due to his ability to stretch the floor and be solid defensively. Averaging a tick under 30 fantasy points, Chandler is more than capable of exceeding that most nights and in the new fast-paced Nuggets offense, he will get his opportunities to score the ball.

Centre

Tyson Chandler ($9,500)

Tyson Chandler has long been a dominant rebounder in the NBA, but he has taken his glass cleaning ways to a whole new level in the past two months of the season. In his last six games, the least rebounds he has hauled down has been 15 and his last six game average is 10 fantasy points higher than his season average. If you aren’t convinced now then you never will be to start Chandler.
