AFL $75,000+ SUNDAY

Three great games across two continents in Draftstars’ biggest ever Sunday of AFL DFS!

Navigating what St Kilda Saints do and don’t have man-flu is the first hurdle we need to negotiate. The environment in China places a premium on endurance machines and with no Tom Rockliff in this game, the Port midfield looks a good place to start finding value.

Weather watch at the MCG today too will be crucial, and a fast-paced free-flowing game in the West to finish makes this contest likely to be very high-scoring so select for ceilings and hope for the best.

Here is my team you can consider using, or building around, for Sunday’s $75,000+ contest

FORWARD

Robbie Gray ($10,780):Surely he is slated for extra midfield minutes in the absence of Rocky. With Boak likely to cop a tag from Jack Steele, Gray could be left needing to do plenty for Port here through the midfield. Worth the risk at the price tag.

Sam Gray ($11,900): Few builds will start with two Gray’s but Sam has a great tank and will be hit up on the lead all day here against the Saints. Hoping for a big 110+ game at single digits.

MIDFIELD

Karl Amon ($10,270): Loved what I saw from Amon last week, hopefully he gets plenty of onball minutes again here. Going straight back to him.

Jack Steele ($14,300): Fingers crossed he doesn’t come down with the flu between now and bounce, because he will need to shut down Boak for the Saints to be in this game and that means tackle floor. Add that to his amazing endurance which will be crucial in the second half, he could have a 30+ / 10 tackle game here.

Seb Ross ($13,460): Very volatile but worth taking a punt on a guy who can go 150+ at this salary. With some of his teammates apparently feeling abit poorly, Ross could revert to his old ways and rack up cheap mark/kick stats coming out of defence. In general im expecting this to be a fierce game early than i’m selecting the runners to junk up late. Ross can cash in on both those plans.

Bailey Smith ($9,660):This kid is not arriving, he is already here. Now has four 20+ disposal game in last five and can tackle as well. Still under 10k. Yep.

DEFENDERS

Caleb Daniel ($12,130): Just keeps producing scores. I thought his run had ended but he almost triple-doubled last start and against the Eagles, Daniel will be tasked with helping to maintain as much possession as possible – so long as his teammates can win the ball / win the ball back, Daniel will crack the ton here.

Dylan Clarke ($6,250): Very solid 31 disposals last week in the VFL has earnt young Clarke a call up to the senior side for just his second game of league footy. Not sure if he will get midfield minutes, i expect him to because they need/want a look at him one year on and the Blues are a perfect team to do it in. Worth the punt because if he plays onball he will smash value.

RUCK

Matthew Kreuzer ($10,960): Kreuz is capable of being the highest scoring ruck on this slate by 20pts. His team needs him to have a 30 hitout, 10 tackle, 2 goal, 15 disposal game and he is more than capable of it. Why it’s not happening each week is a head-scratcher but if we are picking for ceiling then Kreuz fits the bill.
