AFL $50,000+ SATURDAY

With five Live Final tickets up for grabs today, there’s even more than $50,000 reasons to get your teams in for this excellent Saturday slate.

Not going to over-complicate this one, little bit behind on my prep this week so i’ll let the lads at Fantasy Insider do the talking for me – i’ve had a listen and I’m liking the cut of their jib this week.

PLAY NOW

FORWARD

Ed Curnow ($13,010): Seems to be playing as a pure onballer in recent weeks but beware, he could return to the roll of shutdown in any game. Will likely be pretty chalky and I don’t want to miss out on his best game but if you have a feel about someone else, fading Curnow could be a great play.

Tom Lynch ($13,440): Love Lynch tonight, he will be super low-owned with the players around him likely to soak up huge ownership. Can smash Carlton here. Hopefully he lasts the four quarters which is always the risk with him.

MIDFIELD

Lachie Whitfield ($16,020): Whitfield showed glimpses last week of entering ‘kick it to lachie’ mode and when he hits that gear, 150+ is on the table. With Taranto similarly priced I can’t see too many teams getting to Whitfield here, nor pairing them.

Tim Taranto ($16,710): So integral is Taranto and Whitfield to everything the Giants do tonight that I am genuinely expecting them to combine for 300+. Hard to leave out but will be very chalky despite the price tag.

Jackson Hately ($9,590): Completing the GWS midfield stack with Hately makes sense. He hasn’t played a game yet with Kelly and Coniglio both absent. Should give 100pts a good nudge.

Patrick Wilson ($5,000): Just look at his SANFL stats. This is a free square.

PLAY NOW

DEFENDERS

Grant Birchall ($8,180): Risky move given the injury worry but without Impey, on his home deck, I think Birchall can hit value here. They like him distributing it and he is a safe selection in terms of floor.

Franis Watson ($7,410): Still no Hurn means we can fire up Watson again. He is an intercepting / running defender, likely to remain under-owned despite a first up 70pts.

RUCK

Tom Hickey ($10,340): Solo rucking v Goldstein has proved very fruitful this season so far, and Hickey does have that huge game in him that we saw in Geelong earlier this season. Not a lot of options here.
