Here is a team you may consider for the NBA Fever $5K+ Monday competition
Point Guard
Russell Westbrook ($23,650)
He is the most expensive player for today’s slate, but when he is going for his fifth straight triple-double he is most certainly worth it. Currently averaging 62.1 fantasy points per game, he is an absolute must-have and gets a good match-up against a Pelicans side that prides itself on playing as little defence as possible.
Ish Smith ($8,750)
With Reggie Jackson nearing a return from injury, Ish Smith has responded to the threat and put up his best two games of the season averaging 41 fantasy points in those contests. Against the Orlando Magic, who’s point guard play has been sub-par, Smith will continue to put up numbers to ensure he stays in the rotation when Jackson returns.

Shooting Guard
Jodie Meeks ($5,000)
Jodie Meeks made his season debut against Philadelphia as he came off the bench and played 17 minutes. Meeks will provide some much needed stability to the Orlando Magic bench and his sharpshooting ways could propel him to a very handy 20 fantasy point game.
Justin Holiday ($5,200)
With Courtney Lee out injured, Justin Holiday has been inserted into the starting lineup and it has coincided with some of the best Knicks performances of the season. Holiday is similar to Meeks in that he is a “3 and D” player but at the price he is too cheap to pass up for what could be a very handy performance.
Glenn Robinson III ($5,000)
Despite Paul George being probably fit for this game, Robinson is still worth a play at the price because in George’s absence he has proven himself as a reliable NBA contributor. With a decent shooting stroke and ability to crash the boards, he is good enough to get 25 minutes off the bench and put some points up.
Matt Barnes ($7,050)
A true NBA journeyman, Matt Barnes has contributed at every club he has ended up at. At Sacramento, he is coming off the bench but playing a lot of minutes. Against the Knicks, he is sure to see plenty of time on the court trying to defend ‘Melo and after a career high 16 rebounds in his previous match, it would be rude to not have him in your squad.
Power Forward
Anthony Davis ($19,250)
Whilst it is still in doubt whether Anthony Davis is human or not, what is not in doubt is how much of a fantasy star he is. Coming off a quiet game by his standards which was caused by a shoulder injury early, coach Alvin Gentry has said he is good to go and Davis will be ready to try carry his Pelicans to a win.
Kyle O’Quinn ($6,200)
Even though Joakim Noah may be back for the contest against Sacramento, O’Quinn has outplayed him and shone in his absence. Coming off a game against Minnesota where he helped himself to 20 points and 13 rebounds, O’Quinn has definitely earned the trust of Jeff Hornacek. Against the Kings, he should get an opportunity to build on his good form and a 25 fantasy point performance is all we need out of him.
Centre
DeMarcus Cousins ($19,250)
‘Boogie’ is the most enigmatic character in the NBA. Despite not knowing when and what might make him snap, he is playing out of his mind and is a top five fantasy player in the NBA. With a floor of 50 points in his past five games, Cousins is an absolute must as you look to add some firepower to the lineup.
