Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $9k+ Tuesday competition

Point Guard

Kyrie Irving ($15,050)

The Cavaliers point guard has been playing some inspired basketball over the last stretch as he has been setting up his teammates well and looking for his own shot. Prior to his match-winning performance against the Warriors, he was averaging 21 points, 4.5 rebounds and 8 assists in six games. Against an inexperienced Detroit team, expect Kyrie to again push the ball quickly and look to set up the play on the fast break.

Rajon Rondo ($10,700)

Rondo has been very impressive in big Bulls wins, and he seems to relish the tough matchups that the Bulls have. Here, in an important game against division rivals Indiana, Rondo will have an important role and will hope to dish out another high number of assists and run the offence. If the Bulls have a hot shooting night expect Rondo to be a huge benefactor.

Shooting Guard

Wilson Chandler ($10,200)

The veteran has been impressive so far this year as the Nuggets have experimented with small ball lineup, meaning Chandler has seen an increase in minutes. Chandler has been great in a small forward role and is able to space the floor and get a lot of open looks from deep. Averaging 16.9 points and 7.1 rebounds on the season, expect Chandler to again be up near these numbers and if he continues to mesh well with Nikola Jokic in the Nuggets front court, he will see a large amount of minutes.

Devin Booker ($11,000)

The smooth-moving Booker has been able to slot in as the second offensive option on a young Phoenix team and he continues to be a major threat. His previous game against Houston saw him have season-high fantasy points – with 7 assists and 6 rebounds to go along with 28 points. Going up against Houston again, expect Booker to have his confidence up and he should be able to get out on the fast break as both teams love to play fast, up-tempo basketball.
dirk-nowitzki

Small Forward

Thaddeus Young ($10,250)

The Pacers veteran has been a steady hand all season for a Pacers team that has struggled at times to live up to the expectations. Young has put up steady numbers of 12 points and 8 rebounds over his last six games and will look to continue that here against the Bulls. With two double-doubles in his last three games Young has hit a little purple patch and had a team-high 21 points in a recent game against the Knicks. While he won’t blow teams away, expect a steady performance from Young on both ends of the court.

Danilo Gallinari ($10,650)

The Denver big man has found a new lease in his game as part of the new frontcourt that has him and Nikola Jokic playing together. This lineup suits Gallinari, as he is able to space the court and get a number of open looks from deep that he thrives on. Even in games that he does not shoot well he is still able to contribute, as he showed in a recent game against the Mavericks, where he had a season-high four steals while also having his 10th perfect game from the free-throw line. By doing this, Gallinari is always able to stay in the game and if his shot is on, expect a big night for Danilo who is averaging a tick over 17 points and 5 assist in his last stretch.

Power Forward

Jabari Parker ($12,250)

Parker has been hugely impressive this season as a major weapon for the improving Milwaukee team. Jabari is able to use his length and athleticism on both ends of the court and as a result has averaged just over 24 points and 5 rebounds over his past six games. Parker has had over 20 points in 6 of his last 8 games and against a struggling Washington team lacking imposing big men, expect Jabari to again attack the rim and get easy buckets in transition.

Taj Gibson ($8,750)

Gibson’s veteran presence has allowed him to mesh with new arrivals Dwayne Wade, Rajon Rondo and Robin Lopez, and has used his impressive play to move his way back into the starting 5. Taj has been able to use his hustle on the defensive end to grab boards and block shots, while his sweet mid-range game and impressive pick and roll play keeps him active on the offensive end. Gibson seems to thrive in big games and in an important division match up against the Pacers, look for him to establish himself early in the game.

Centre

Dirk Nowitzki ($11,000)

Dirk has returned and aren’t the Mavericks fans happy to see him. Nowitzki returned against the Clippers and despite only playing the first half of the game he was able to put up 17 points and grab 4 rebounds. Dirk will still see a minutes restriction against the Pelicans but look for the Mavericks to play him once Anthony Davis is off the court and try and take advantage of a young and inexperienced Pelicans bench. If Dirk can bump his minutes up to somewhere in the mid to high 20’s expect him to get a lot of touches on the offensive end.The Mavericks will use his experienced play in the post and from deep to score points, which should translate to a strong fantasy score.
