AFL $40,000+ SUNDAY

Three really good games make for a ripping fantasy finish to Round 15.

With rain forecast in Perth I’m steering clear running players in the late game and focusing on the early games but certain players do get a bump in the wet so a good mix needs to be considered today.

Here is my team you can consider using, or building around, for Sunday’s $40,000+ contest.

FORWARD

Ed Curnow ($11,500): No Cripps should open up an opportunity for Curnow to move into the midfield a lot more. He should spend time on Fyfe regardless though which in the wet will mean tackles. Hopefully he can won’t be too highly-owned.

Tom Lynch ($7,700): Speaking of low-owned, Lynch looks that perfect mix of POD value, salary value and opportunity against a pretty weak St Kilda defence. Should get plenty of supply with the Tigers getting a few guns back in.

MIDFIELD

Nat Fyfe ($14,810): He is Nat Fyfe, at home, in the wet, against the Blues. Move on.

Angus Brayshaw ($12,850): Giving Gus one last chance here. I like that he burned plenty last week, should keep his ownership nice and low. He is capable of paying off this salary in what should be a very free-flowing game.

Dan Hannebery ($12,100): Saw enough to go again on Hannas even though his price tag has skyrocketed. Will find the footy and will put in defensively for the new side that sold the farm to get him in. Salary may scare a few off today. Sub 15%?

Reece Conca ($11,460): Consistent player who should relish the conditions and really get that tackle count up. It’s a more defensive play though, hoping for an 85-95pter here.

DEFENDERS

Jayden Short ($9,990): Word from the Tigers training was that Short picked himself in the practise match. I like hearing that. Sounds ready to return, always good for an 80+ especially in a free-flowing game against the Saints.

Bayley Fritsch ($9,480): Going back to Fritsch today after a dissapointing game last week. Should play a lot more wing today with Hibberd returning. Bit of a POD selection, but i think he can hit 80+ no worries.

RUCK

Sean Darcy ($9,890): It’s wet and Kreuz is always one hitout away from an early shower which makes me like Darcy alot here. Marshall will be pretty popular and is a good selection, but if you don’t have the money then Darcy is the play.
