AUSTRALIA v INDIA 1ST T20: TIPS & SELECTIONS

Australia and India renew rivalries in the first of three T20 internationals at the Gabba in Brisbane on Wednesday.

The hosts are bidding to bounce back from an ODI series defeat to South Africa and a loss to the Proteas in a stand-alone T20 at the weekend.

There are a host of tournaments available to play on Draftstars from Free to Play for Fun to the $5,000 feature contest.

We pick out some of the players you should have in your selections for Wednesday’s huge clash.

GLENN MAXWELL ($16,000)

Australia have some serious firepower at the top of the order with captain, Aaron Finch, Chris Lynn and D’Arcy Short leading the hosts into battle. But Glenn Maxwell holds a key position in the batting line-up as the finisher. Maxwell will be looking to show that his flashing blade can lead Australia with a notable innings, and could be used with the ball too. A must have in your selections.

KULDEEP YADAV ($16,400)

Spin bowlers excel in the T20 format and Kuldeep Yadav will pose some significant problems for Australia’s batting line-up. Bowling in tandem with fellow wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, chinaman bowler Kuldeep has a bag of tricks up his sleeve. He is a joy to watch and should be amongst the wickets at the Gabba.

ANDREW TYE ($12,800)

Australia undoubtedly have the edge when it comes to the quicks with Andrew Tye backed up by Billy Stanlake and Nathan Coulter-Nile. Coulter-Nile is worth considering for your line-up given his performances already in the green and gold in recent weeks, but Tye is the T20 specialist. Expect him to take wickets with his variation and collect points against India batsman he knows well from his IPL exploits.

RISHABH PANT ($10,600)

Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is an exciting hard hitter made for the T20 game and he should produce some fireworks in Brisbane. With the Indian middle-order looking a little weak, Pant is in a key position and I expect him to deliver with the bat. He will be key to India’s chances of winning not only the opener, but the series too.
