AUSTRALIA v INDIA 2ND TEST: TIPS & SELECTIONS

India took a 1-0 lead in the four-match series against Australia and things move on to Perth for the 2nd Test from Friday.

After winning a thriller in Adelaide for a first victory Down Under in 10 years, India will be seeking to back that up in what is the first-ever test match at Optus Stadium.

Can Australia bounce back from that agonising defeat and end a six-test winless run?

It is still all to play for across the four-match series and there is $7,000 in the jackpot tournament for the 2nd Test as well as Free to Play and fun tournaments.

We pick out some of the players you should have in your selections for the 2nd Test and our seven-man line-up.

Travis Head ($12,900)

Travis Head looked combative in the first innings in Adelaide with 72 and will once again be expected to shore the middle-order, particularly if those ahead of him in the batting order continue to misfire. He looked in control against both pacers and spinners in Adelaide and can continue that form in Perth.

Nathan Lyon ($17,900)

Off-spinner Nathan Lyon was the pick of Australia’s bowling unit in Adelaide with eight wickets and he continues to be key to chances of victory. The Optus Stadium pitch is an unknown when it comes to spin, but expect Lyon to be in the thick of things.

Murali Vijay ($9,800)

Murali Vijay missed out with the bat in Adelaide, scoring just 11 and 18. But that makes his a cheap selection to slot into your side for the 2nd Test. He is under a little pressure with Prithvi Shaw coming back for the next match, but he can deliver the goods and pick up some nice points for the outlay.

Jasprit Bumrah ($18,000)

Jasprit Bumrah collected six wickets in Adelaide as he combined well with fellow quicks Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma to exert control together. The pair, coupled with another of our recommended selections in off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, form an excellent unit and Bumrah should get perfect conditions at Optus Stadium.
