AFLW R7 – $1,000 SATURDAY CONTEST

Two games featuring the top four sides in the comp – DFS AFLW doesn’t get better than this! We’ve got five Crows in the line-up today and none of them are named Erin Phillips…who is she anyway! So overdue it’s not funny, today is our day.

Selection

Kellie Gibson ($7,110): If we get 100pts out of our fwd line it’s a huge win because we are going bargain shopping. Well, bargain shopping with pedigree. Gibson back in for the Dockers and will need to be at her best for Freo to triumph. Like her for a 50pt game tonight.

Renee Forth ($6,760): Like Gibson, Forth was a marquee signing who struggled post injury and is only just now coming good. Salary cappers have missed her again. Has a 50pt game in her at a bargain price.

Kiara Bowers ($20,410): Lock her in for a fantasy ton in a game that will be very contested and congested in the midfield. Bowers will return close to 20 tackles here. Not many will pay up for her but first one picked for mine.

Ebony Marinoff ($19,430): Pairing Bowers with Marinoff could be a great POD play and it’s also a great way to bank 200-250pts. Again, the tackle floor is there, as are the disposals.

Anne Hatchard ($11,220): Going straight back to Hatchard despite a poor last game. Hopefully there is some recency bias to help keep her ownership down. Can produce a 15 disposal, 6 tackle, 6 hitouts, 6 mark effort with relative ease and could also be the Crows mid who gets off the chain here. Great price.

Deni Varnhagen ($8,760): Speaking of value, Varnhagen is too cheap for a player who has 4 60+ games in six outings. Can repeat that here. Eating the chalk.

Courtney Cramey ($9,350): Missed the last two games so will be burning to get amongst it. 15 disposal, 8 tackle game against the Cats is what I’m expecting here. Solid tackle floor for a sub 10k player. Can give us 60ts this afternoon.

Britt Gibson ($9,750): Been super consistent in 2019 and has a high 30’s floor which again, is quality for a sub 10k defender. Expect her experience ensures she plays a more prominent role (and more midfield time) tonight. 50-60ts.

Alicia Janz ($6,750): Should be stupidly high owned but how do you pass up a sub 7k ruck who’s averaging 6 tackles? That’s 24pts before she wins a hitout, of which she is averaging 15. There’s 39 pts before she gets a kick. Not overthinking it.
