Travis Head ($13,000)

Travis Head looked combative in the first innings in Adelaide with 72 and now has a couple of fifties after also starring with the bat in the win in Perth. Once again he will be expected to shore the middle-order, particularly if those ahead of him in the batting order continue to misfire. With 163 runs in the series, Head has been Australia’s best batsman so stick with him at the MCG.

Nathan Lyon ($19,000)

Off-spinner Nathan Lyon was the pick of Australia’s bowling unit in the defeat in Adelaide with eight wickets and he collected another eight wickets in the Perth victory. Lyon has won the battle of the spinners in the series so far and he will be crucial to Australia’s chances in Melbourne.

Marcus Harris ($11,000)

Harris has impressed on debut with 142 runs in the series so far and the opening batsman has caught the eye. He’s relatively cheap for what he has brought to the table in the opening two tests too. Harris looked solid at the top of the order and having made an unbeaten 250 in the Sheffield Shield at the MCG he can make himself count once again.

Jasprit Bumrah ($18,500)

Jasprit Bumrah collected six wickets in Adelaide as he combined well with fellow quicks Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma to exert control together, and knocked another five over in Perth. Bumrah has definitely been the pick off the Indian bowlers so far in the series and he collect plenty of points in the Boxing Day Test.
