BBL08 GAME 36: SIXERS V HEAT

Vince and Hughes are just way too cheap tonight and combined they allow Lynn to fit into the side as well.

The Re-cap

Third day in a row we’ve picked what would happen but missed the cash thanks to some frightfully unlucky batsman selections (and dismissals!). Time to get back in the winners list and see that season profit start to climb again.

Likely XI’s

Game 36: Sixers v Heat @ SCG

Sixers – Edwards, Hughes, Vince, Henriques, Silk, Phillipe, Abbott, Curran, O’Keefe, Dwarsius, Manenti, (M. Edwards, Pope)

  • Don’t be surprised if Pope plays. I have no idea why they aren’t playing the kid.

Heat – McCullum, Bryant, Lynn, Cutting, Alex Ross, Pierson, Swepson, Lalor, Doggett, Kuhnemann, Mujeeb (Heazlett, Steketee)

  • The Heat have selected a third spinner in their squad in Kuhnemann and are likely to play him given Cutting can be that 6th bowler and 3rd

Selection Committee

Taking a balanced 4/4 approach to tonight which means 4 batsman and 16 overs with the ball. This is achieved through Ben Cutting who is likely to bowl his 4 overs. Vince and Hughes are just way too cheap and combined they allow Lynn to fit into the side whilst taking the front line spinner of both sides just makes sense on this Sydney wicket. Dwarsius is a bit of a POD play tonight.

Team: Chris Lynn, James Vince, Daniel Hughes, Ben Cutting, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Steven O’Keefe, Ben Dwarsius

Final Thought

Both these sides have displayed very poor batting in more than a few games this season but I have to assess on potential form as much as current form. Plenty of talent in here. I like this team particularly if the Sixers bat first and apply run-rate pressure to the Heat but whatever happens at the toss this side has enough exposure to be right in the game should luck fall our way.
