Looking to bolster your own line-up? Here’s a few best buys to consider.

Defender

Sam Docherty – Carlton – $15,400

It was great to see Docherty back among the points last round against the Hawks, recording his highest score (143) since Round 16. He faces the rampaging Swans at the SCG this round, a side he scored 159 against when the sides last met in Round 6.

Bachar Houli – Richmond – $13,750

Houli has been a reliable source of points at the MCG this season, averaging 87. This includes scoring 100+ in three of his past four games at the venue, which includes his season-high haul of 123 against Essendon in Round 10. He’s nicely priced in Draftstars this round.

Zach Tuohy – Geelong Cats – $11,600

Tuohy has been a reliable scorer at Simonds Stadium all season, ranking fifth at the Cats with an average of 93. His consistency has been integral, reaching 94 points in all but one game, with his only blimp coming in Round 21 against Richmond where he could only manage 63.

Midfielders

Dyson Heppell – Essendon – $15,450

With scores of 144, 81 and 95 points respectively from his past three games against Fremantle, Heppell could be in for a big Sunday afternoon. With the Dockers conceding 13 scores of at least 100 points across the past two rounds, he’s a prime candidate to be among the points.

Dayne Zorko – Brisbane Lions – $15,250

Scoring 480 more points at the Gabba than any other Lions player across the past two seasons, Zorko is the best Lions option in Draftstars this week. With 15 scores of at least 100 points from 21 games, he’ll be looking to add to that tally this week against North Melbourne.

Jack Macrae – Western Bulldogs – $15,000

Macrae top-scored for the Bulldogs when he last came up against the Hawks in last year’s semi final (126). Fresh off a season-high haul of 149 last week against Port Adelaide, he continues to be the go-to Draftstars option at the Bulldogs, leading the club for disposals and uncontested possessions.

Luke Hodge – Hawthorn – $13,650

With a terrific record against the Bulldogs over a long period, Hodge is the bargain pick of the week. Averaging 121 points against them since 2010, the second-most of any player in the competition behind the retired Dane Swan, he’ll be looking to finish his Hawks career off in style.

Midfielder/Forwards

Travis Boak – Port Adelaide – $14,500

Boak led the Power to a big win over the Bulldogs last round, helping himself to 133 points. He’ll be looking to build on that this round against Gold Coast, a side he scored a season-high 153 points against when it last faced off in the historic clash in China.

Shaun Higgins – North Melbourne – $12,950

With only one score below 90 since Round 16, Higgins continues to be a reliable scorer in Draftstars. He ranks fourth at the club for points per game interstate (89) – scoring 99, 103 and a season-high 106 in that order from his past three trips interstate.

Rucks

Patrick Ryder – Port Adelaide – $13,100

With Stefan Martin (112) and Tom Bellchambers (116) both enjoying days out against the Suns in recent weeks, all roads lead to Ryder in Round 23. He should monster Keegan Brooksby and Peter Wright on Saturday night, as he did the Bulldogs last round, scoring 115.
