Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $8k+ Saturday competition

Point Guard

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($18,200)

The Greek Freak has been most certainly cooled down over the last month or so, but is still producing good numbers. There was a stage earlier in the season where Antetokounmpo was a smokey for the league MVP, but that is not the case anymore. The Bucks will be depending on Antetokounmpo to carry their team with the injury to Jabari Parker who has torn his ACL and is out for the season. The Bucks take on the disappointing Lakers who are not a strong defensive team. It certainly looks like a day for the Greek Freak to work his magic.

Jerian Grant ($5,350)

The merry-go-round continues at the Bulls’ point guard position, with Jerian Grant likely taking the start against the Suns. With no Butler and Wade at game time decision, the Bulls offense looks hamstrung, so they will be looking for some of the supporting crew to stand up, that’s where grant comes in. He has scored over ten points in three out his last four matches and also chimes in with a few dimes. Grant’s cheap salary makes him a good value pick.

Shooting Guard

Eric Bledsoe ($14,800)

Bledsoe has come off a brilliant January, but has not started February as well as he would have liked. Bledsoe’s field goal percentage has dropped considerably, but still works hard for rebounds and assists which supplement his scoring. Bledsoe’s Suns are coming up against the Bulls who have struggled defending guards this year. Today could be the day where Bledsoe gets back in his groove.

Ben McClemore ($5,000)

McClemore will most likely get the start with regular starter Ty Lawson battling a hamstring injury. McClemore has started three out his last four matches and has reached double digits for scoring in all of them. In those three matches he is averaging 21.5 DS points, which means that he is returning over 4 points per thousand of salary. If everyone in your team did that, you would get a score of 400, which would win almost any game.

Small Forward

Andrew Wiggins ($12,150)

Wiggins has been putting in big shift for the Timberwolves, who have had a midseason resurgence. Wiggins across his last three matches has averaged 39 DS points from 37 minutes of court time, but he regularly plays 40+ minutes, which allows him to score big. He works well with young gun Karl-Anthony Towns and always gets his fair share of shots. The KAT will be up against Anthony Davis, whi9ch should be a great matchup, but it might mean that a higher share of offense is played through Wiggins.

Brandon Ingram ($5,950)

AIngram has recently been promoted to the starting lineup, replacing Luol Deng, and has seen an immediate boost is his production, averaging 25.9 DS points compared to his season average of 16.7 DS points. If Ingram can keep this up, he is definitely a good value pick going forward.

Power Forward

Nikola Jokic ($15,350)

Jokic was back to his dominant best in his last match, posting a double-double on his way to 43 DS points. Jokic is a perfect fantasy player, he shoots, rebounds and assists so he will always be scoring big. Jokic’s Nuggets come up against the Knicks in what is a matchup between two of the brightest Eastern European talents in the league. Look for Jokic to put on a show at Madison Square Garden.

JaMychal Green ($8,550)

Green has his work cut out for him, taking on the Golden State Warriors. Green will be coming up against his all-star namesake, Draymond, but still has the potential to return a decent score. Over the last week, JaMychal Green posted a double-double and scored 29 points against the Timberwolves. Hopefully the game is not a blowout and Green plays his full minutes, otherwise he may not return a decent score.

Centre

Marcin Gortat ($13,050)

Gortat is as consistent as they come. Over his last eight matches, Gortat has scored over ten points and collect over eight rebounds. He is averaging double digits in both points and rebounds across the season. That level of consistency is DFS gold because he allows you to take risk on other players, knowing that you will get production from him. Gortat will be taking on the inexperienced Pacers’ centre Myles Turner, so look for Gortat to continue his streak.
