NBA $15,000 THURSDAY: TIPS & SELECTIONS

NBA Thursday is back once more with 10 games on the slate.

In the East, eighth plays ninth with Charlotte taking on Miami. An intriguing inter-conference clash sees the Celtics on the second leg of a back to back, coming off a thorough demolition of the Warriors, backing up to take on the Kings.

Staying in the West, the King’s gradual downfall sees the Lakers play host to the Nuggets.

Draftstars has $15,000 up for grabs in the Thursday jackpot.

D’Angelo Russell – PG/SG – $14,720

Russell has been in a little bit of a scoring slump putting up 13 and 11 points in his last two games, though he did pair that 13 up with 11 assists. It seems unlikely that Russell’s scoring numbers will stay down for long with how prolific he has been this year, and a visit from the Cavs should be just the ticket to get his scoring numbers back on track. In his last two games against the Cavs, D-Lo torched them for 36 points and 30 points.

Kevin Love – PF/C – $14,280

Spending so much of the season out through injury, Love is starting to put it all together now with double doubles in four of his last five games. The one game he didn’t put up a double double, he put up 26 points with eight rebounds. The Nets represent a great match up for Love and he may find some extra motivation this game as the Nets were the last team he played before his surgery. It seems like every other big on the Cavs roster is now out, and it wasn’t the deepest roster to begin with. But Love has always flourished putting up big numbers in these situations.

LaMarcus Aldridge – PF/C – $14,450

Speaking of depleted big man stocks, the Hawks have John Collins and Dewayne Dedmon listed as game time decisions for this clash, on top of Omari Spellman and Miles Plumlee being out of action. That’s great news for Aldridge who already would have been excited about getting a shot at the leagues worst defense. LA put up 34 points in his last outing, and has scored 39 or more Draftstars points in his last three games. It’s hard to envision anybody on this Hawks team being able to contain Aldridge down low or in the mid range.

Kelly Oubre Jr – SF/PF – $12,550

With the Knicks paying a visit to Phoenix, we shouldn’t see much defense being played here between the 25th and 28th ranked defenses in the league, and that’s going to create plenty of opportunities for Oubre who continues to put up good numbers. He lit up the Knicks for 21 points when he played them earlier in the year, is coming off a 27-13 night against the Bucks, and has put up at least 30 Draftstars points in three straight games. He’s added at least one steal in his last six, and has been putting up respectable numbers on the boards next to the points. The Knicks are a juicy match up for anyone who plays them.
