Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $20k+ Thursday competition

Point Guard

Jeff Teague ($12,850)

The move for Indiana to trade George Hill and replace him with Jeff Teague has had mixed results so far. Teague however, is filling up the stat sheet at a level never seen in his career. Against the up-tempo Washington Wizards, Teague will have his hands full with John Wall but will most certainly fill the stat sheet.

Derrick Rose ($9,900)

Rose has been struggling with back spasms over the past two weeks but he seems to have recovered from that ailment considering he played 38 minutes against the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day. Rose isn’t the MVP point guard he once was but is still capable of putting up numbers and is too cheap to pass up.

Shooting Guard

Jamal Crawford ($7,700)

With Chris Paul and J.J. Redick struggling with injuries, much of the scoring load in the backcourt will fall on Crawford’s shoulders. That won’t be a problem for Crawford though, and with a matchup against the weak New Orleans Pelicans bench, Crawford might be able to carry the Clippers to a win.

Thabo Sefolosha ($7,350)

Ever since Sefolosha was inserted into the starting lineup for the Atlanta Hawks, he has turned into a valuable fantasy contributor. With the ability to pick up steals, rebounds and even drain the odd corner three, Sefolosha at that price is a must-have.

Small Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($19,950)

The best part about drafting Antetokounmpo in your Draftstars team is that he is super fun to watch and you just don’t know what way he is going to score big. Maybe he will score a career high 39 points again? Or pull down 15 rebounds? Or dish out 15 assists? Who knows, but he is called the Greek Freak for a reason and he is a must-own.

Otto Porter ($11,600)

Otto Porter is having a breakout season and showing why he was a number three pick out of Georgetown in 2013. Fresh off a 32-point, 13-rebound game against the Bucks, the Wizards will look to Porter to give them that third scoring punch as they continue their resurgence.

Power Forward

Nikola Jokic ($12,150)

The only thing that can stop Nikola Jokic is himself, as he gets into foul trouble. The young Serb is going to be the next phenom in the NBA and his passing ability is unparalleled for a man his size. If he stays out of foul trouble, a triple-double will be on the cards for the Joker.

Jon Leuer ($7,150)

Stan Van Gundy has made changes to the Detroit stating lineup to try freshen things up and one of the beneficiaries has been Jon Leuer. He has received a bump in minutes and with that should see an uptick in production. Against a middle of the road defence in the Milwaukee Bucks, Leuer might be an outside double-double chance.

Centre

Mason Plumlee ($10,400)

The last time Portland and Sacramento met, DeMarcus Cousins went off for 55 points and had an ejection rescinded. What was lost in that match was that Plumlee had 27 points and 13 rebounds in what was one of his best fantasy performances of the year. The Portland defence is terrible, which means that they need to get involved in offensive shootouts to win and Plumlee has been one that has thrived in fantasy land because of this. At the price he is too hard to turn down.
