NBA $4,000 Sunday Line-Ups

john-wall-2
NBA Sunday features four games on the slate and coincidentally that means that the Draftstars Sunday contest is worth 4K. It is weird to say, but the funnest matchup looks to be the one between the streaking 76ers and the improved Washington Wizards.

Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $4k+ Sunday competition

Point Guard

John Wall ($17,900)

Quite simply, this guy will be the best player in this game and is going to dominate. It might be controversial to say that he is the best Point Guard in the East, but he is sure playing like it and with a matchup against the improving 76ers, Wall will have to be at his absolute best to guide the Wizards home.

T.J. McConnell ($6,350)

Ever since he has been inserted into the starting lineup, McConnell has been a revelation with his crowning glory being the game winner against the New York Knicks. He won’t dominate in any one statistical category but he will get his fare share of rebounds, assists and points to make him worth the price.

Shooting Guard

George Hill ($12,350)

The Utah Jazz point guard is finally fit and he plays a perfect complementary role for this team. When he is healthy they are also one of the best teams in the NBA, mainly due to his accurate three-point shooting. With a matchup against the defensively inept Orlando Magic, expect Hill to dominate and lead the Jazz.

Rodney Hood ($9,800)

Hill’s running mate in the backcourt is the the smooth-moving Rodney Hood. Hood finally broke out of his rut against the Cavs in emphatic fashion and that is likely because he had Hill next to him. Against the aforementioned poor Magic D, expect Hill to continue the good form.
lamarcus-aldridge

Small Forward

Otto Porter ($11,700)

Otto Porter is developing into a star in front of our very eyes as the third scoring option for the Washington Wizards. He is super-efficient from the floor and is also their primary lockdown defender, meaning he is a solid source of steals as well. Get him in your lineup and watch the “Ottometrist” go to work.

Tyreke Evans ($8,450)

If Evans is fully fit, he is one of the best 6th men in the NBA. Against the Brooklyn Nets he showed those talents, exploding for 29 points and 48 fantasy points. Basically at his price point you just can’t not have him, even if Anthony Davis is back playing for the Pelicans.

Power Forward

Aaron Gordon ($11,200)

There must be something about the West Coast air because all of a sudden Aaron Gordon has learnt how to shoot. His shot previously looked broken but he has been spending plenty of time in the gym and all of a sudden he has a new found confidence in his shooting stroke. If the Magic are to have any chance against the Jazz, they need this man to step up, and I think he will.

Nerlens Noel ($7,700)

Joel Embiid is slated to rest in this game due to it being a back to back and that means that Nerlens Noel will profit with a start. His numbers have been productive off the bench and with the opportunity for starters minutes, expect Noel’s athleticism to take over as he secures himself a double-double

Centre

LaMarcus Aldridge ($12,400)

The Phoenix Suns frontcourt give up the most fantasy points to forwards in the NBA. LaMarcus Aldridge plays the Suns and he knows how to score the basket. That means that you need LaMarcus Aldridge in your team. It is that simple.
