NBA $7,000 Wednesday Line-Up

andrew-wiggins
Six games on the card for Draftstars’ NBA $7k+ Wednesday contest, with the clear pick of the matches coming in the form of San Antonio vs Toronto. There’s certainly some interest in this contest from a fantasy perspective too, but while the other games don’t appeal as much, there’s extreme Draftstars relevance everywhere you look.

Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $7k+ Wednesday competition

Point Guard

Eric Bledsoe ($15,650)

Bledsoe is the underrated Draftstars darling who continues to outperform the top point guards. While his price has continued to rise, he’s just about as big a lock as there is in this position. Bledsoe is coming off a 69.50 fantasy performance and is clearly the main man in the struggling Phoenix team. Don’t expect 40 points and 13 assists this match, but he should comfortably cover the 40 fantasy point mark.

Elfrid Payton ($10,000)

This is a really nice price for a player currently overperforming. It doesn’t matter whether Payton starts or not, he is getting good minutes and is having an impact for the Magic. His value only increases when Fournier doesn’t play, which may happen again against the Bulls. Payton can easily fill up the stats sheet with a double-double again in this match, and prove to be an outstanding, value selection.

Shooting Guard

Andrew Wiggins ($11,550)

While Wiggins is always a risk due to his fantasy tallies being driven by his shooting, Wednesday allows him to be a more reliable option, given Minnesota is playing a woeful Suns defence. He picked up 37 fantasy points last time these two teams played, and this sort of output is similar to what the other shooting guards may produce, for far more money. Wiggins appears to be a nicely-priced option.

Raymond Felton ($6,500)

RWhile the Clippers have been hurt by the injuries to star players, it has given us a couple of good, cheap options to include in this contest. Felton has been receiving some solid minutes in the absence of Chris Paul, and while Doc Rivers has tried different combinations on the court, including starting Speights ahead of Felton, the veteran guard appears to be a safe option. He averages in the high 20s for fantasy points when he starts, which is good enough for his price.

Small Forward

Kawhi Leonard ($16,000)

When you have a player who has four scores of over 50 fantasy points in his last six matches, and has been rested in preparation for this match, he must be locked into your DraftStars teams. Leonard will be ready to go against the Raptors, and his recent form has been nothing short of stellar. Clearly, it doesn’t matter who he is playing against, having dominated the Cavs last time he played, so lock him in and enjoy the show.

Austin Rivers ($7,500)

The second value selection from the Clippers, Rivers has been a solid contributor over the past fortnight, and it has translated into good fantasy output for his price point. Consistently in the mid-to-high 20s for fantasy points, it’s Rivers’ ability to play at multiple positions that makes him a good choice for this contest. He tends to score well against lesser teams as well, which is good coming up against the 76ers.

Power Forward

Nikola Jokic ($13,450)

Jokic continues to impress, averaging 38 fantasy points over the past two matches, despite only averaging 24 minutes. The Denver big man is in ridiculous form, and has been the clear breakout star of the NBA, dominating all teams he comes up against. It doesn’t matter that Utah have a great defensive record, and one of the best bigs in the association, Jokic is a fantasy must-have.

David Lee ($6,250)

Again, injuries have benefitted us for this Wednesday contest, with David Lee in excellent form, filling in for the injured Pau Gasol. He is the best value of the day, with double-doubles the expectation from the Spurs veteran. Lee will hold his own against Valanciunas, and both will be great selections DraftStars teams.

Centre

Jonas Valanciunas ($11,100)

Despite the above selection of Lee being a good one, Valanciunas could be an even better selection. He has an incredible opportunity to dominate against one of the best teams in the league, given he won’t have to contend with someone as strong and powerful as he is. Valanciunas was great against Phoenix, but that is the minimum expectation for what he can produce against the Spurs.
