Fox Sports LogoNFL Week 7IT’S bargains galore at running back.

And going cheap on the ground provides an opportunity to take quality in the air and elsewhere… particularly targeting potential blow-up games like San Diego @ Atlanta.

QUARTERBACK

Philip Rivers, SD ($16,300)

The human GIF machine has been generating plenty of scoring this season despite the continual loss of fellow Chargers on both sides of the ball. Against a Falcons team that can pile on points just a tad faster than they let them in, all scripts point to Rivers flooding the Georgia Dome with touchdowns in Week 7.

Tyrod Taylor, BUF ($14,650)

Question marks as to who’ll be toting the rock for the Bills in Miami may mean increased rushing output from Taylor, who has usurped the mantle of most dangerous running QB from the limping Russell Wilson. The Dolphins finding offensive rhythm will provide the added bonus of keeping this contest competitive and T-Mobile throwing throughout, all for a very modest price.

NFL Week 7

RUNNING BACK

Jacquizz Rodgers, TB ($6,000)

The San Francisco 49ers gave up 300 yards on the ground to the Buffalo Bills last week.

Jacquizz Rodgers is facing the San Francisco 49ers.

Jacquizz Rodgers is getting a bell-cow load of carries and costs bottom dollar.

Next question.

Giovani Bernard, CIN ($10,550)

A meeting with the Cleveland Browns is just the ticket to ignite Gio and the Bengals offence, with the potential return of Tyler Eifert helping to open room. Bernard is mixing in healthily on early down and goal line carries, as well as dominating work in the PPR-crucial aerial attack.

NFL Week 7

Mike Gillislee, BUF ($6,000)

This pick comes with the caveat of LeSean McCoy missing the trip to South Beach, placing the former Florida Gator in prime position for a happy homecoming. As the stand-in starter behind a thundering herd of an offensive line, plug Gillislee in and enjoy the running returns.

WIDE RECEIVER

Mike Evans, TB ($13,550)

No team ranks worse against number 1 receivers than the 49ers, and Big Mike is just that in Tampa Bay’s return to the Monday 10K slate. With Vincent Jackson out for the season the ceiling on targets for Evans is something to savour, all for a middle class price tag.

NFL Week 7

Tyrell Williams, SD ($10,000)

After the Denver secondary kept Williams in check, the breakout sophomore is a high-upside, low-ownership play in the Chargers’ meeting with Atlanta. As Philip Rivers looks to keep up with Matt Ryan’s unit expect plenty of looks for his big-bodied target, especially in the red zone.

Allen Robinson, JAC ($14,400)

Prior to last week’s lacklustre meeting with Chicago, Robinson had returned to his target-magnet production. The Raiders secondary is a blown play waiting to happen, so with the savings made at the RB spot spoil yourself with an Evans-Robinson pairing for your Week 7 wideouts.

TIGHT END

Travis Kelce, KC ($12,000)

Last week’s soggy conditions in Kansas City have made way for blue skies as New Orleans bring their high-octane offence and low-caliber defence (25th vs TE) to town. With Jamaal Charles in doubt there should be more action headed Kelce’s way as Alex Smith attempts to out-duel Drew Brees.

Hunter Henry, SD ($8,750)

Antonio Gates has confessed to being more decoy than anything this season, as rookie Hunter Henry emerges as the heir to the highly-targeted TE slot in San Diego. That bodes delightfully well against Atlanta’s defence, who are handing out more receptions per game to tight ends than any team in the league.

NFL Week 7

DEF/ST

Patriots ($5,100)

This is not a complete, blanket-covering, QB-quivering defensive unit. But they do get to play Landry Jones this week. As Tom Brady keeps the scoreboard ticking, look for the unimpressive Pittsburgh back-up to pile up the mistakes in your favour.
