NFL $1.5K+ Full Round Best Buys

While some teams floundered in Week 14, others flourished and for every Le’Veon Bell, there was a Matt Forte. With the season reaching a crescendo, it’s time to take another look at those with plucky Week 15 matchups for the Draftstars NFL $1.5k Full Round competition.

Quarterback

Russell Wilson ($13,500)

After producing his worst game of his career to date, Wilson is every chance of bouncing back against the hapless Rams as a cheap option in the Draftstars NFL $1.5k Full Round competition. The Rams rank 11th in points allowed to quarterbacks this season, and their struggling offense means Seattle’s offense – and Wilson, will be able to spend more time on the field, resulting a greater opportunity to score points.

Running Back

Bilal Powell ($12,700)

With Matt Forte injured, Powell will take over the reins as the Jets’ number one running back, meaning an increase in both snaps and points is in store. Forte’s injury allowed Powell to rush for 145 yards and two touchdowns last week, culminating in a season high 34.90 points. This week’s matchup is equally favourable, against Miami who allow 133.8 rush yards per game.

Jay Ajayi ($10,050)

Despite rushing for more no more than 48 yards from 20 carries last week, he should see upwards of 30 carries against the Jets. With Ryan Tannehill injured, the offense will undoubtedly lean on Ajayi on the ground where he should find success against New York’s defence which allowed 248 rushing yards to San Francisco last week. Ajayi could struggle with centre Mike Pouncey also injured, but as far as his matchup is concerned, he’s a safe bet.

Wide Receiver

Jordy Nelson ($14,550)

After an ACL injury last year, Nelson has picked up right where he left off, leading the league for touchdown passes with 12. He faces Chicago in Week 15, the team which held him to his worst output of the season with just 1.90 points earlier in the season. The Bears however, have given up the 11th most points to the wide receiver position and after scoring three touchdowns in his past two games, Nelson should atone his for last outing against Chicago.

Doug Baldwin ($11,550)

It’s no secret that the Seahawks were below their usual standard last week, yet Baldwin still remained a constant threat on offense as the target 11 times throughout the game. Seattle will find the going much easier this week against Los Angeles. The Rams conceded three touchdown passes and 237 receiving yards to the Falcons last week suggesting Baldwin could again see high productivity this week.

Tight End

Delanie Walker ($9,500)

Walker has been one of the most productive tight ends this season, ranking equal first for touchdowns and sixth for receiving yards. After a lowly week where he only scored 5.80 points, Walker’s matchup this week, the Kansas City Chiefs, rank eighth in yards allowed to the tight end position.

Flex

Sammy Watkins ($11,450)

Injuries have restricted Watkins for much of this season, but after catching his first touchdown of the season and a season high 13.40 points in Week 14, he’ll be looking to once again improve. The Bills face the winless Browns in Week 15, who have given up a league high 30 touchdowns to opposition teams this season.

Taylor Gabriel ($10,500)

Gabriel continues to feature in the team after yet another solid week where he caught a touchdown. He now has five touchdowns in his last six games and faces San Francisco who allow the 6th most points to wide receivers. With Julio Jones expected to return this week, Gabriel could find himself open more; finding more yardage in the process.

Defense

Green Bay Packers ($6,050)

The Packers had a day against Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense last week, raking in five interceptions, three sacks and a fumble for a return of 19.00 points. While it may have been a lucky day for the defence, they’re every chance of dominating again against Chicago who they recorded an even 12.00 points on earlier in the season.
