NFL $10,000 MONDAY: TIPS and SELECTIONS

The NFL has already hit week 11, and with six teams on the bye, and the Packers having dueled the Seahawks in Thursday Night Football, we have a slate of 12 games remaining.

One game clearly stands out above the rest however, Monday Night Football, the 9-1 Chiefs visiting the 9-1 Rams, the winners proceeding with the best record in the NFL.

In New Orleans, another intriguing match up looms with the 8-1 Saints hosting the struggling Super Bowl champion Eagles who will slump to 4-6 if they can’t find an answer for their offensive woes.

The 4-5 Cowboys visit the 4-5 Falcons, the loser will find it extremely difficult to push for a wildcard spot at this point, meanwhile, the Steelers will be out for revenge after being upset at home in the divisional round by the Jaguars 10 months ago.

Meanwhile, we have $10,000 dollars to win, and these guys might help you do it.

Lamar Jackson – QB – $5,050

With regular starter Joe Flacco missing training this week with a hip injury and expected to be ruled out, the spotlight turns to the Ravens 2018 first round pick Lamar Jackson to take the reigns. Baltimore have been struggling, and their offense has gained little traction, so there’s a big opportunity here for the youngest ever Heisman winner to make a splash. He also has the benefit of kicking off his career at home, hosting a Bengals team that has given up the second most points in the NFL. Coming in at a basement price, he’s a risky play, but also frees up a lot of salary to spend elsewhere.

Philip Rivers – QB – $16,670

If you want a more dependable option at the QB position, Philip Rivers is putting up an MVP caliber season in LA. Despite Brady, Rodgers and Wilson all being off the table, Rivers remained just the seventh most expensive QB available for this tournament, this despite having as many touchdowns as Drew Brees and the third best QB Rating in the NFL. Rivers has scored multiple touchdowns in every game this year, and faces off with a Broncos team that sits middle of the NFL for passing touchdowns conceded so there is going to be some opportunities for Rivers to have a good day.

Kenny Golladay – WR – $12,070

When the Detroit Lions traded Golden Tate two weeks ago, they gave up a receiver having signed in 2014 had given the Lions three seasons of over 1000 yards and four consecutive seasons of over 90 catches, and before his departure he was on track to give the Lions that same production once again. Tate, who led the Lions in targets, receptions and receiving yards, was seeing nearly 27% of the teams targets., the first two in line to stake a claim on the abundance of extra targets are Golladay and Marvin Jones. While Jones may be the preferred target, particularly in the red-zone, Jones has been ruled out this week due to a knee injury, meaning Golladay is an almost certainly for double digit targets.against a Carolina team who has concedes the 11th most passing yards per game in the NFL.

Evan Engram – TE – $8,620

Tight end has been a difficult spot to fill on the fantasy gridiron this season, so it’s an appealing position to try to save some money if you can find a good match up, which is exactly where Engram and the Giants find themselves this week. Engram’s numbers haven’t been astronomical this year, but in recent weeks he’s seen multiple games of five targets or more as Eli Manning starts to show further faith in him. This week they play a Tampa Bay team who have given up the most passing touchdown’s in the NFL, along with the fourth most passing yards. Engram has seen 14 targets, with nine grabs and a TD in his last two outings, the Bucs should be even more accommodating.

Odell Beckham Jr – WR – $20,080

On that same note, when it comes to feasting on weak opposing secondaries, who better to look to than OBJ? He isn’t going to come cheap, coming in as the fifth most expensive option here, but is coming off a two touchdown, 11 target week against the 49ers last week, along with 11 targets and eight catches each of the two weeks prior putting up 136 yards and 143 yards with a touchdown. Despite the two scores last week, OBJ had an uncharacteristically low 36% catch percentage last week that held him back from a potentially even bigger day and will have been a work on during practice this week. Odell has always been a showman, he loves the spotlight, and he will no doubt know there’s going to be plenty of opportunity to land himself on the highlight reels this game.
