AFL $100,000+ KANGAROOS V TIGERS

What a night to play daily fantasy footy with over $100,000 up for grabs in a game that requires a little bit more strategy than usual.

There is plenty of excitement about in the dfs community this weekend and it starts with a game between the Kangas who have a new coach and the Tigers who aren’t a particularly high-scoring dfs team.

Picking those few players who do manage to smash their salaries tonight, whilst avoiding those trap players who don’t perform will be a winning combination and when I say winning, tonight we’re talking plenty of mulah!

Here is my team you can consider using, or building around, for tonight’s $100k Roos v Tigers contest.

FORWARD

Liam Baker ($9,170): Coming off a 112pt game Baker could be a bit of a point-chasing play but with Butler returning to the team, Baker I think will see a little bit more time up the ground and i just like the idea of taking a guy who is not reliant on goals here. Just tackle Liam!

Noah Balta ($7,150): This guy will be the highest owned player on the slate. His price alone dictates he will be popular but his role has also expanded in recent weeks to include back-up ruck duties so coaches can expect a few extra tackle and some hitout points tonight. Kind of just have to pick him. Brave, brave fade.

MIDFIELD

Dion Prestia ($12,950): Like Prestia here, no Lambert means Prestia’s run is still needed, he will likely play abit more outside here with Cotchin coming back in and that’s just fine with me. Really safe 90pt floor.

Ben Cunnington ($12,650): Cunnington has been in sensational form and i am expecting more of the same here. Just really well-priced for a guy who you can bank on for a 90 but who can get you 110 just as easily.

Trent Dumont ($13,610): Taking Dumont is a bit of a risky play because his price tag denies me a few prime defenders but there is a chance that he can have a ceiling game here and smash through that 125pt mark to bust the slate and in a contest with so much cash, its a chance worth taking for mine.

Jed Anderson ($11,740): Taking Anderson over Cotchin is a bit of a pivot play, Cotchin will be very highly owned so if he bombs, this team is well placed to capitalise. Have liked Anderson’s two-way game recently, if he brings it all together he will smash three figures.

DEFENDERS

Nick Vlastuin ($12,530): In a game where a lot of players will jump off Vlastuin i’m happy to stay on. Think he is the obvious alternative to Houli and if Houli goes down with an injury, then expect the mighty mighty Vlastuin to be the highest scoring defender.

Scott Thompson ($9,860): Crazy, potentially stupid move here but Thompson should get the Balta matchup and we’ve seen already this season that Scotty can have huge quarters. His team will need four of them tonight and I expect he will be single digits at this inflated price.

RUCK

Ivan Soldo ($9,790): I’m a big Soldo guy so i was picking him regardless at this price, but against Goldstein who has largely dissapointed this season, it’s a bit of a no-brainer. You are asking Goldy to smash Soldo by more than 30-40pts which could happen, but we will be hoping it doesnt.
