AFL $50,000+ EAGLES V DEMONS

It will be a very brave coach who doesn’t build for a decisive Eagles victory tonight.

$50,000 up for grabs tonight means we need to get serious at selection here and my first thought was that the Dees are in so much trouble here.

My second thought was checking the TV guide to see whats on around half time of the footy when the game could be well and truly over.

So naturally we are targeting plenty of Eagles that will benefit this type of game then surgically selecting Demons who should score well regardless of scoreline.

Here is my team you can consider using, or building around, for the Eagles v Demons $50k

FORWARD

Jack Darling ($9,200):Has not got near his best footy even two weeks back against the Suns he looked rusty despite kicking a bag, but against the Dees it is just a rule that you take the big forwards. We couldn’t afford Kennedy so we are settling for Darling at hopefully very low ownership for one of his 15 disposal, 3-4 goal games.

Willie Rioli ($8,590): Straight into my side. Love this kid in any game but in this game specifically I expect him to be used a lot linking the midfield to the forward line. The Dees small defenders have taken a hit with no Lewis or Hibberd which only benefits Rioli. Expect an 80+ from him here and with no stats this season yet he could be one coaches avoid first up.

MIDFIELD

Andrew Gaff ($16,030): Averaging 130pts in 3 games at Optus this season so whilst his price tag looks high and he is tough to get too, his ceiling can take a team very deep into cash. Not many will take a Gaff/Gawn side so hopefully that helps us as both those guys can clear 130+ here.

Jack Redden ($12,370): This is just a price point selection, Redden is too temptingly priced for a player who has legitimate 140 ceiling. We have not seen it much this season but no one else in this range has his upside.

Angus Brayshaw ($13,400): Like Redden, Gus is just too cheap here. He can pay off this price tag which can’t be said for many around him in terms of ceiling. I do worry that he will get company in the form of Hutchings but it could just as easily be Viney or Oliver who he has tagged in the past so riding for luck abit here.

Mark Hutchings ($8,050): Taggers get ignored in dfs because they aren’t focused on finding the footy but at 8k Hutchings is in play for mine. Has a 30-40pt tackle floor and/or a 15+ disposal ceiling which gives him two ways to pay off his price tag. Should be low-owned.

DEFENDERS

Bayley Fritsch ($9,090):Fritsch should see an expanded role in the backline tonight with no Hibberd and Lewis back there, expect he and Salem to be responsible for majority of the exits. Like the price tag, think he has a solid 70pt floor here with the possibility to hit 10x value.

Jayden Hunt ($8,020): Little bit of vomit came up when i typed his name. Hunt can kill a team like few other players but without Melksham in this lineup i expect Hunt to be hit on the lead a little bit more and generally be involved more in the play. Could swing down back as well with the defensive outs they have which should present more points.

RUCK

Max Gawn ($14,910): Gawn could put 100pts on Vardy here. I just can’t justify trying to get a 50-60 out of Vardy when Gawn walks into three figures. Needs a monster game for his team to have a chance.
