AFL $50,000+ GIANTS V BULLDOGS

With finals teams already dropping we won’t be surprised by any late outs in Sydney like last night at the G!

With both these teams having played two weeks ago and the game being such a one-sided blow-out to the Bulldogs, it is tough for coaches to not naturally go there again today.

An edge can be found by forgetting that game and assessing on home form for the Giants. We’re taking a balanced side in, picking the value where we can and making sure we have access to some key GWS pieces that will go well even if they get pumped again.

Here is my team you can consider using, or building around, for today’s Giants v Bulldogs contest.

FORWARD

Bailey Dale ($9,270): In form and playing game 50, hard not to have Dale he has kicked 20 in his last half dozen games. High work rate. Good for a bankable 70+

Rylee West ($5,880): Chalk city. Should be probably 80%+ and can easily see a value game here. Free square. move on.

MIDFIELD

Josh Dunkley ($16,140): With so much midfield talent here it really becomes about who you take in the midfield that will decide this one because there are 6-8 guys who can go big and you can probably only take 2-3 of them. Dunkley is safe for mine. Wont cop the tag which means he can roam and tackle at will.

Jacob Hopper ($13,680): Comes back in and always scores well sans Coniglio. Should be very popular though but it’s good chalk again. Lock him in for 110+.

Patrick Lipinski ($12,510): Bit of a pod play here, Lipinksi enjoyed his last trip to western Sydney with 27/2. Can repeat at a good price and ownership especially if Macrae or Bont are shutdown.

Bailey Smith ($10,120): Love this kid, has had a great month (averaging 85 last 5 starts) and will rip in for four quarters.

DEFENDERS

Lachie Whitfield ($15,280): Bit of a risk but is he has one of his 130-140 games this team will go big. Will also need Wood to go well and hit a value game. He simply must play really well for the Giants to have a chance and i don’t think the Dogs will run with him, i think they will back themselves to win it.

Easton Wood ($7,020): Ultimate pod. Should be under 5% today but he had a 70+ in him and is a big game player. Don’t be surprised if he gets some cheap settle-down kicks either.

RUCK

Shane Mumford ($9,380): You take rucks against English. Don’t over-complicate it.
