AFL FRIDAY $40,000+ DEMONS V BOMBERS

After a nice cash last night let’s keep the money flowing with a Demons stack at the G.

The Dees have been terrible to start 2019 but the Bombers have been much, much worse. This side tonight is being selected around a dominant Melbourne victory so if the Dees can fix up their inside fifty conversion ratio’s and actually start to have some key forwards kicking goals, then we will be in the money.

It’s a bit of a hail-mary build with no premium midfielders anchoring the sides’ scoring but we have had a bit of success so far this year by just spending down in the midfield and ensuring both ends of the ground have quality.

Here is my team you can consider using, or building around, for the Demons v Bombers $40,000+ contest

FORWARD

Tom McDonald ($12,080): Probably a POD play in terms of ownership, if you think that the Dees are a good chance to capitalise on what should be a big insider 50 differential, then McDonald is your first man picked. Can rapidly improve on what has been a pretty poor start to the season. Three figures tonight.

Sam Weideman ($8,660): The price is right, the supply will be there, Weidemen has already shown he has 80+ upside when he gets the opportunity and there is no better than the Bombers right now. Big value game.

MIDFIELD

Nathan Jones ($11,470): I’m not happy with picking Jones but he will be low-owned and is capable of clawing out a value game. He does have a relatively safe 70pt floor but were really hoping for the ceiling end here in this game to go super high up the leaderboard.

Andrew McGrath ($10,760): We picked him last week and he didnt get going until quarter time and still finished mid 70’s. If he starts well there is a 90+ game in the former #1 draft pick and on the wide expenses of the MCG he should be able to find plenty of the footy.

David Myers ($11,460): The ultimate POD play, Myers has had a horrid start to 2019 but he can score well on his night and at some point, you just have to pick one of these guys whose average is, well, average. Another poor effort from Myers is likely to see him playing VFL so I’m hoping he will be motivated to return an 80+ tonight.

Bayley Fritsch ($9,350): Taking him for the price but if the Dees to dominate, then young Bailey will be on the end of a few here. 20 disposal, 3 goal game not out of the question.

DEFENDERS

Christian Salem ($13,440): At this price tag Salem is a massive risk but I don’t see many people picking him so the reward is there if (big IF) he plays well. MCG should suit him and the Bombers inablity to kick into their forward line should ensure Salem sees plenty of it.

Aaron Francis ($8,820): Francis is on the cusp of a really good dfs game and I’m not going to be one who misses out. Don’t see how he kills me at this price either as I expect there is a 60-65pt floor there.

RUCK

Max Gawn ($13,950):Ruck have scored poorly first two rounds but Gawn gets a great matchup in a must-win game it just sets up for him to have one of those really dominant games finding mark/kick stats all around the ground. Should have all the other ruck options well and truly covered here so worth the spend tonight.
