AFL SUNDAY $40,000+ CONTEST
Two games and endless possibilities to end Round 4 – coaches will need to be brave today.
With not a lot of premium options and a host of hit-or-miss players to choose from down the list, this two-game Sunday slate is tailor made for the risk-taking dfs player.
Here is my team you can consider using, or building around, for Sunday’s $40k contest.
FORWARD
Jack Lukosius ($5,750):Has not yet lit it up but i’ve seen enough to suggest he has a 70-80pt game in him. A really safe 40pt floor too. Just needs a couple of goals to kick-start his dfs career. Will be low-owned too.
Charlie Curnow ($9,050): The injury sign is a godsend here with Curnow having legitimate 100+ upside against a Suns defence that is due to concede a big score to a key forward.
MIDFIELD
Zac Fisher ($9,980): The price is low enough with Fisher that he is worth the risk, capable of returning us a 100pt game here but we are taking him for the safe floor of 70-80pts at a relatively good price. It’s a defensive play so we can afford some class.
Jack Steele ($14,740):Likely get’s the O’Meara tag but could spend long stints playing without an opponent – either way Steele has a 40pt tackle floor and has shown this season he can find the footy as well. Safe 110-120pt play.
Jack Martin ($13,210):Against this Carlton side Martin could absolutely tear it up. Don’t love the price increase but he can pay that off at his best. One of those players capable of a 30+ / 3 goal effort at his best.
Ricky Henderson ($13,550): With no Shiels still and O’Meara likely to cop a tag, Henderson looms as a really safe play. Love Worpel as well but I expect he will be very popular so we’re pivoting away to Henderson who can rack them up if given the chance.
DEFENDERS
Jack Scrimshaw ($7,960): Love the new lease on life he has at the Hawks. On the wide expanses of the MCG he can easily pay off this price tag with a solid 70-80pt game.
Jack Newnes ($11,490): Feel like this could be a big Newnes game. Really hoping he goes overlooked and underowned but i fear he could be one of the chalkier plays on the slate today. Three figures should not be a problem.
RUCK
Ben McEvoy ($13,220):Important to pay up for a quality ruck floor today, especially in a game where plenty will be tempted by Wright, McKay and Bruce. McEvoy can and should smash Marshall. 80pt floor safe as houses.
