AFLW R3 – $4,000 SUNDAY CONTEST
A nice cash yesterday despite the ‘efforts’ of Lauren Brazzale and Jes Dal Pos who both saaaarked. Could have gone deep if they had have stepped up but a win’s a win. Let’s go back to back!

Renee Forth ($5,850): Forth could be a great value play third up for her new club today, saw enough against the Pies to suggest she is over her knee troubles and starting to regain her confidence. At her best she is one of the best in the country but even in third gear she can click over a nice 45-50pt game here which is solid value at her price.
Sarah Lampard ($5,000): The Dees has the Magpies which does inflate scoring somewhat but Lampard still caught the eye. Is likely to be pretty highly owned given her average and price tag in a contest not lacking superstar price tags but at some point we have to pick a few min pricers and the key to that is getting a safe one who is not going to drop below 30 and kill your lineup. Lampard fits that bill.
Erin Phillips ($13,600): Playing Phillips as a midfielder today which is likely where she will spend most of her time. Strong possibility to get some company from Cranston for some or all of the game as no one else in the Cats midfield has the body strength to match her. With Perkins up forward for Adelaide, Phillips can focus on accumulation with the occasional forward foray – that’s dfs gold. Expecting a solid 70+ here.
Nat Exon ($11,520): Have loved what I’ve seen from Exon first two weeks playing that pure midfield role and following play wherever it takes her. She tackles and she marks/kicks well which is a winning combo in dfs aflw. The salary cappers have also missed her a little this week so we’re on at a great price.
Elise O’Dea ($17,800): If Melbourne are to do anything this afternoon it will be on the back of O’Dea. She has a big 20 disposal, 10 tackle afternoon ahead of her. It was a tough choice between her and Anderson and if you can afford both then well played, but with Exon in the team I had no issues paying up for O’Dea on the other side, she is carrying that Melbourne midfield.
Olivia Purcell ($11,360): With Cranston back for the Cats Purcell wont be getting nearly as much attention as she has been. She is a hard-tackling accumulator which again, is what we are identifying in our midfield today, and cheap enough that a sub-par 50-55pt return wont kill your lineup. Capable of 70+ though.
Shannon Campbell ($7,620): Campbell has enjoyed a great start to the season, averaging 6 tackles per game which is an amazing fantasy floor of 24pts, especially at that price tag. No problems paying down for Campbell in a tight matchup where the pressure (and tackles) will be up.
Meghan McDonald ($12,120): Big POD play today is McDonald. The salary cappers found her big time from Round 2 after her 21-disposal game. She was quiet for 3 quarters but a 38pt fourth term showed her dfs ceiling. With the ball likely to be living down in the Cats defence most of the game taking McDonald makes a lot of sense to me and at that price she is likely to be very under-owned.
Jess Foley ($14,600): Talk about the salary cappers finding a player! Foley has gone from 5k to almost 15k in two weeks but the form is there to back it up. Her work after the ruck battle is the most compelling reason 15 disposals and 5 tackles is elite for a midfielder, let alone a ruck averaging 20 hitouts. Lauren Pearce will be pretty highly owned today given her size and experience advantage over the young Lions rucks, which makes paying up for Foley a strong POD play.
