AFLW R7 – $1,000 SUNDAY CONTEST

The final two-game slate of the season has arrived and we are paying up big time in defence!

Selection

Mon Conti ($15,270): Cracked the ton last start and looks set to repeat at a great price. Likely to be well-owned but with the Dogs going into this game quite tall, Conti is likely to need to be absolutely everywhere.  Not many can rack up 20 disposals and 7 tackles in a game. Fewer at under 16k.

Kate Bartlett ($5,000): Highly-rated youngster who finds a bit of the footy and can kick goals. We’ve had good success this season picking against the Blues defence and with the Bulldogs midfield able to kick accurately Bartlett should get a look at a 40-50 this afternoon.

Brit Bonnici ($12,470): 21 disposals and 10 tackles last start. Should get the run-with on Anderson or Exon and has a great floor at this price tag. In a contested game I’m happy to take tacklers and Bonnici will leave nothing out there in an attempt to win a game this season.

Jacqui Yorston ($11,300): The Lions young tagger has had a great start to her AFLW career averaging 10 disposals and 8 tackles. That’s a great dfs floor and we are targeting floor’s today. Has a 60 in her.

Jade Ellenger ($7,750): Debut last week was excellent. The two goals were nice but it was the five tackles that impressed most. Likely to get good opportunity for Brisbane against the Pies defence who is likely to focus more on Freidrick-Traub and other co.

Mikala Cann ($7,600): Cann has lacked opportunity but has been recalled today and I’d be surprised if she wasn’t given more midfield minutes. Can tackle. Great defensive floor for the price tag.

Kate Lutkins ($15,920): Not mucking around in defence after a few rookie defenders have burnt our teams badly last few games. Lutkins is coming off her first fantasy ton of 2019 and will need to have her best game of the season for Brisbane to play finals. Will be in everything and at her price is likely to be single digit owned.

Ash Brazill ($13,400): Taking the only other defender that can ton up. Hopeflly they just kick it to each other all game!

Alison Downie ($10,570): Paying up for a 50pt ruck effort from Downie in a contest that will see more than a few pay down for cheap rucks who have the potential to torch a team. Hasn’t scored less tan 42pts in 6 starts.
