AUSTRALIA v INDIA 1st ODI: TIPS & SELECTIONS
Australia and India kick off a three-match ODI series at the SCG in Sydney on Saturday.
The tourists won their first-ever test series Down Under in Sydney last week as they won 2-1 and will be looking to inflict more misery on the struggling Aussie side.
There is $7,000 in the jackpot tournament for the 1st ODI as well as Free to Play and fun tournaments.
We pick out some of the players you should have in your selections for the 1st ODI and our seven-man line-up.
Shikhar Dhawan ($12,800)
India have an edge at the top of their battling line-up and Shikhar Dhawan – and Rohit Sharma – are the reasons. Dhawan has been in excellent form last year with the bat and should continue doing so in this series. He looks a snip at $12,800.
Virat Kohli ($20,000)
Kohli averaged more than 100 in a phenomenal 2018 that saw him continually raise the bar. Australia will hope for a different 2019, but ‘King Kohli’ might have a different opinion. He should carry the test series form over the 50-over game and inflict more pain on the hosts.
Marcus Stoinis ($18,300)
Marcus Stoinis has been talked up quite regularly for a place in the Test side, but has yet to make that breakthrough. The all-rounder has been in excellent form in the Big Bash, with consistent runs and quality bowling performance. He should be able to bring that form with both bat and bowl to the ODIs and is worth the expenditure.
Kuldeep Yadav ($15,800)
The left-arm chinaman bowler is a must to have in your side. He is a joy to watch and was amongst the wickets throughout the T20 series between the sides. Kuldeep has been in impressive form over the last calendar year and will once again give India an edge.
