Pat Cummins ($23,200)

Pat Cummins had an amazing series against India (163 runs, 14 wickets), showing great maturity and consistency. That continued in the first test against Sri Lanka as he claimed a career-first ten-wicket match haul with figures of 4/39 and 6/23. Cummins is bowling career best form and his ability to contribute with the bat makes him a must.

Niroshan Dickwella ($15,900)

Niroshan Dickwella was the only Sri Lankan batsman to offered any kind of resistance in both innings of the first test. His scores of 64 and 24 made him the standout performer in an ordinary team effort. He should contribute with the bat again on a more favourable pitch.

Marcus Stoinis ($12,000)

Marcus Stoinis has been one of Australia’s go-to men in the shorter forms of the game, providing match winning performances in both T20 and ODI internationals. Now he could get the chance to impress in test cricket and stake a claim for an Ashes spot. Stoinis could bat at six and provide even more ammunition in a fearsome bowling attack.

Travis Head ($14,900)

Travis Head has consistently pick up runs in the middle order for Australia this summer with his 84 in Brisbane being the top score. The left-hander looks a reliable source of runs at present and can continue his form with another decent knock in Canberra.
