Looking to bolster your own line-up? Here’s a few best buys to consider.

Defenders

Jeremy Howe – Collingwood – $13,700

Howe’s intercept marking is unrivalled this season, recording six more than any other player in the competition. His form at the MCG has been solid, averaging 92 points, which includes scoring 110+ in four of nine games. Howe is coming off a 118-point game in Round 14.

Jarrod Harbrow – Gold Coast Suns – $12,400

After scoring a season-low 64 points in his most recent game in Round 11, Harbrow bounced back last week after returning from a club-imposed ban, collecting a season-high 116 points. The Suns get the ball into his hands as often as possible, ranking No.1 at the club for defensive half handball-receives per game.

Dylan Roberton – St Kilda – $12,100

Roberton will be looking forward to facing former side Fremantle at Domain Stadium this round. With scores of 101 and 94 points respectively from his previous two games against the Dockers, a similar score is definitely on the cards. Roberton is averaging 107 points interstate in 2017.

Midfielders

Tom Mitchell – Hawthorn – $17,400

You get what you pay for in Draftstars and in the case of Mitchell, that’s a near guaranteed 120+ point score. He had a field day when he last came up against Collingwood in Round 9, finishing with career-highs of 50 disposals and 177 points. Pick him with confidence.

Zach Merrett – Essendon – $16,350

Merrett has been a prolific scorer against sides outside the top eight, dropping below 100 points just once (97) in six games, averaging an impressive 124. He has scored at least 120 points in each other match, and with a game against the Lions on Sunday, one would expect another bumper score.

Taylor Adams – Collingwood – $15,300

Hawthorn concede more points to midfielders than any side in the competition this season, which brings Adams into the Draftstars mix. He has kept pace with both Adam Treloar and Scott Pendlebury all season, ranking third at the club for points per game at the MCG with 112.

Dayne Zorko – Brisbane Lions – $15,200

Expect Zorko to bounce back this round after last week’s dismal score against the Giants. He has scored 100+ points in three of his five career games against the Bombers, which includes returning 102 and 108 points from his past two games. Zorko is averaging a career-high 129 points interstate in 2017 – ranked second in the AFL.

Midfielder/Forwards

Isaac Heeney – Sydney Swans – $13,650

On the back of a season-high 122 points in the last gasp win over Essendon on Friday night, Heeney enters this round in terrific form. In fact, only Dan Hannebery has scored more points than Heeney since he came into the side in Round 5, averaging 23 disposals, one goal and 101 points.

Robbie Gray – Port Adelaide – $13,000

Gray has returned some mixed scores at Adelaide Oval this season, falling below 40 points twice, while exceeding 90 in every other match. Leading the competition for total scoreboard impact, Gray has collected 108 and 107 points from his past two games against the Tigers and is nicely priced in Draftstars.

Rucks

Brodie Grundy – Collingwood – $15,050

As always, Grundy’s selection in Draftstars is heavily dependent on whether the Magpies play Mason Cox in the side. He ranks fourth at the club for points scored behind the big three at the MCG, Taylor Adams, Adam Treloar and Scott Pendlebury, averaging 108 points.
