Looking to bolster your own line-up? Here’s a few best buys to consider.

Defender

Michael Hibberd – Melbourne – $14,250

Hibberd continues to reward fantasy owners with decent point hauls. His form at the MCG however has been mixed of late, scoring 57, 107, 67 and 129 points respectively from his past four games. Hibberd averages 26 disposals, four marks and 83 points against bottom 10 opposition this season.

Daniel Rich – Brisbane Lions – $12,250

With Alex Witherden sidelined through injury, Rich should now take his extra share of kick-ins. His form since Round 15 has been exceptional, scoring 80+ points in all but one game, which includes posting back-to-back 100-point scores. Rich has won 32 and 24 disposals respectively from his past two games.

Defender/Forward

James Sicily – Hawthorn – $12,650

Sicily is thriving in defence after making the switch from the forward-line, scoring 104, 106 and 110 points from his past three games. His ability to read the play is one aspect of his game that has developed at a rapid rate, ranking No.1 in the competition for intercept marks with 30 since Round 14, grabbing six more than anyone else.

Midfielders

Taylor Adams – Collingwood – $17,000

Adams heads into this round’s clash against Port Adelaide in terrific form, piling on 151 and 124 points in that order from his past two games. Averaging a career-high six tackles, his defensive play is an obvious strength, as is his ball winning ability, recording at least 24 disposals in all but one game. He’s a safe Draftstars choice.

Patrick Dangerfield – Geelong Cats – $16,650

Dangerfield returns to the Cats side this week and plenty will be expected from him. His record against top eight sides this season is outstanding, averaging 126 points – ranked No.1 in the competition. He also averages 136 points at Simonds Stadium which adds even more to his fantasy appeal.

Jack Macrae – Western Bulldogs – $14,850

Macrae just keeps piling on the points, adding a further 126 to his season tally last round. His consistency makes him the ideal Draftstars choice, scoring at least 85 points in all but one game. Macrae averages 27 disposals, 17 uncontested possessions, six tackles and 105 points in wins this year.

Sebastian Ross – St Kilda – $13,900

Ross has tallied 30+ disposals in four of his past six games as he prepares for St Kilda’s first match at the MCG in 2017. At ball up stoppages, no St Kilda player has won more first possessions than Ross’ 33 – recording 10 more than team mate Jack Steven. He’s a safe bet this round.

Midfielder/Forward

Jarryd Lyons – Gold Coast Suns – $13,900

The Suns have confirmed that Lyons will return from injury this round for the QClash. With Aaron Hall likely to miss and a doubt surrounding Gary Ablett with his hamstring, one would expect Lyons to dominate in a weakened midfield. He scored 133 and 113 points from his last two full matches before going down.

Forwards

Lance Franklin – Sydney Swans – $12,150

Franklin’s only match against Fremantle at the SCG was a successful one back in 2014, booting 4.2 to go with 17 disposals, eight marks and 110 points. After a stinker last round against the Cats, he should bounce back on Saturday, scoring 84, 108 and 90 points respectively from his past three SCG games.

Rucks

Patrick Ryder – Port Adelaide – $13,550

With the Magpies missing Brodie Grundy this round, Ryder should dominate against the inexperienced Mason Cox. He hasn’t dropped below 85 points in any of his past five games at Adelaide Oval, posting two scores of 100+. Ryder has a five-round average of 102 points.
