PGA $6,000+ WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP
We’re back to a full field and this one is not deep, which means plenty of value to be found for coaches who do their homework!
Predicting the weather can be fraught with danger for dfs golf coaches, but a forecast Thunderstorm Thursday afternoon is scaring me a little so this team is a good ol’ fashioned AM/PM stack.
Check the radar and forecast as close to lock as you can though because this will be a shootout so any small tee time advantage you can gain will be well worth it.
Webb Simpson ($23,000): Is in amazingly consistent form and coming off a 2nd place finish last week where he notched 111 draftstars points, Simpson is an almost must-play here. His course history is excellent, his stats are excellent. He will be chalky but not nearly what he should be.
Joaquin Neimann ($16,290): Forget about The Open and instead assess on his previous four starts that included 3 top 10’s and 2 top 5’s. Can putt well to which will be important here given the low numbers on offer. Expect he goes well under-owned on the back of his Open failure.
Adam Hadwin ($16,200): Hadwin is rocks or diamonds but his ability to go low is unquestioned and you need a few of them in your team this week because the winner could very well shoot -20 or better. Big POD Play, will be sub 5%.
Scott Piercy ($15,880): The other guy in our team who can go stupidly low at great price, Piercy brings genuine win equity here and will be very fresh after not playing The Open. Expect will be semi-chalky though.
Wyndham Clarke ($14,480): Clarke’s last month has been really sneaky good with 3 top 20’s including a 5th two starts ago at the 3M. He is an excellent putter but the approach game has been poor lately so if he can clean up the shots coming in, you know they will start to drop.
Russel Knox ($13,880): Excellent value considering his all-round game, Knox would not look out of place at 17k in this field. Last man in is usually selected to just make a cut but Knox can do much more than that here.Latest
