Welcome to the new Draftstars! As you may be aware, Draftstars is now owned by PlayUp, a pioneer in the global Daily Fantasy Sports industry.
The mission at Draftstars is still the same: Delivering you, the player, the world’s best fantasy sports experience. We are thrilled to be able to combine forces with PlayUp to deliver this, and behind the scenes we have been busy doing just that.
Now it’s time to unveil the first of many exciting improvements which are live now. Please take two minutes to discover what you can expect.
Same Same, but Different
Firstly, three key points;
- NO changes have been made to the contests you know and love. The salary caps, scoring and player formats are as you are used to
- NO action is required on your account. Your balance, verification and profile will all remain the same.
- If you play online then no action is required. If you play via the app an update will be required. You will be notified when the new app is available to download, in the interim please use the mobile web version.

All features on all devices. No more having to get out your mobile to play Rapidfire.
An Improved Look and Feel
The brand is undergoing a minor makeover to be consistent across mobile and desktop apps.
Better Bonus Bets
Spend your bonus where you want. Gone are tickets into specific contests, you are free to use your bonus bets any way on Draftstars.
Bragging just got Better
Sledging and banter are a core part of Aussie sports. To help your witty sledging and bragging hit the mark we are releasing new contest specific chat rooms.
Follow your Mates
We make it easier to find and follow your mates on the Leaderboards.
Bigger Prize Pools
We saved the best to last – larger winnings are coming! Our goal is bring you the first $1,000,000 prize pool. YeeHaa!
Work in Progress
As you can see, plenty is still going on. We are giving a facelift to Head to Head, Live Draft, Private Challenges and Turbo. They will be ready shortly after June 1st.
Giddy Up
Now to celebrate we will be kicking off with a massive AFL $100,000 Contest for the Demons and Magpies match on Monday 11th June. We will let you know as soon as this is available in the lobby closer to the commencement of round 12.
