Saturday’s Score: 299.75
Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $6k+ Tuesday competition
Point Guard
Jeff Teague ($12,600)
Although he can be prone to a quiet night every once in a while, Teague is a solid option for your point guard position. Teague is more of a pass first guard, who often racks up big assist numbers as well as chipping in with double digit points. Teague saves his best performances against other big name guards. He is averaging 45.75 DS points in his last two matches against Kyrie Irving, and he scored 28.5 DS points last time against harden, who he is facing today.
Cory Joseph ($6,050)
With the injury to Kyle Lowry, Joseph will continue to start for the Raptors. In the two matches where Lowry has missed, Joseph is averaging 25 DS points. That is a great return for such a cheap player. It is important to take advantage of injuries to normal starters when building your lineup, Joseph is a lock against the inconsistent Knicks.
Shooting Guard
DeMar DeRozan ($12,900)
Another consequence of Lowry’s injury is that more of the offense will through DeMar DeRozan. The All Star has lifted his production in the two game which Lowry has missed, averaging 49.25 DS points. DeRozan will need to put the team on his back and carry them against the Knicks.
Jaylen Brown ($5,000)
After a couple of weeks on the sidelines, Brown has made a successful comeback, averaging 22 DS points in his two matches back. Brown is an efficient shooter who also gets a few rebounds a game so he can easily continue his good form against the Hawks.
Small Forward
Robert Covington ($12,400)
Covington has been flying under the radar lately, averaging a very healthy 43.5 DS points across his last five matches. Covington has benefited from the active Sixers front office, who traded away Nerlens Noel and Ersan Illyasova, which has resulted in a spike in his minutes on court. Covington is a defensive beast, he has multiple steals in his last thirteen straight matches, which is phenomenal. Even though he is up against the Warriors, Durant is listed as a Game Time Decision, which means that Covington may only have to face up against backup players.
Iman Shumpert ($5,900)
Shumpert has been struggle as of late, but can turn it around against the defensively inept Bucks. Shumpert has not been shooting well lately, shooting a combined 4/18 over his past two matches. With reinforcements coming to the Cavaliers (Williams and Bogut), Shumpert needs a big one in order to preserve his minutes.
Power Forward
Paul George ($16,450)
George has not come back well after a turbulent All Star break, suffering cramps in his first match and then getting ejected for foul language against the Heat. George should be back to his productive best against the Rockets, due to the high scoring nature of the match and the perceived lack of quality in the Rockets frontcourt.
Dario Saric ($10,250)
Saric is becoming a bit of a cult figuring in Philadelphia with his strong play. With the mass exodus on Sixers front court players on trade deadline day and the injury to star big man Joel Embiid, Saric has been rewarded with the starting Power Forward role. He has posted four straight double doubles and can easily make a fifth against a Warriors team who does not always perform at their explosive best at the start of an East Coast road trip.
Centre
Karl-Anthony Towns ($18,250)
The KAT has been balling out lately, posting a 58.8 DS point average in his last three matches. In his last match Towns was dominant, scoring 37 point and collecting 22 rebounds on his way to 72 DS points. Towns has a great match up in this game, coming up against Kosta Koufos who is doing an okay job of replacing the irreplaceable Boogie Cousins. Towns is an up and coming star of the NBA, watch him stamp his authority in this match.
