Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $10k+ Saturday competition

Point Guard

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($20,750)

The Bucks have lost six of their last seven games and will be looking to stop this trend on Saturday against conference rivals Toronto. For them to win Giannis Antetokounmpo must have a huge game and put up big numbers. He’s already been doing the latter despite the losses, averaging 48.6 fantasy points in the last seven games.

Spencer Dinwiddie ($5,000)

The owner of one of the coolest surnames in the league also presents as a nice value option for our fantasy teams this Saturday. With Jeremy Lin succumbing to injury once again, a role has opened up for Dinwiddie in the Brooklyn Nets starting line-up. This has seen him play over 30 minutes in each of the last two games, putting up respectable fantasy scores of 22.25 and 21.50. At just $5k, Dinwiddie is a safe option.

Shooting Guard

Dwyane Wade ($11,150)

Wade has been huge lately, averaging 47.9 fantasy points in his last three outings, thanks to some excellent stat stuffing of all five categories. On Saturday, he’ll play the team with whom he made his name – but also the team that didn’t want to pay him in the off-season. This should only add extra fuel to Wade’s fire and should result in a big score for our teams.

Garrett Temple ($6,200)

Temple has taken over the reins at Small Forward for the Sacramento Kings now that Rudy Gay is unavailable and has shown some good signs from the early returns. He’s averaging in excess of 30 minutes per game and in that time has consistently scored above 20 fantasy points. At his price, the certainty surrounding his role is enough to see him selected.

Small Forward

Kent Bazemore ($8,800)

Bazemore has been in hot form lately, posting his season high in points on Tuesday against the Clippers and following that up with a season high fantasy score against Chicago on Thursday. He’ll come up against the Wizards on Saturday who are vying with Atlanta for a home playoff series. With the Wizards lacking quality wing depth, Bazemore should have little trouble continuing his good form.

Wayne Ellington ($5,100)

Ellington is a risky pick, sure. He’s a career journeyman who is averaging just 18 fantasy points for the season on a Miami team that is one of the worst in the league – he’s not exactly screaming “pick me!” Despite this, his last three games have seen him earn back the trust of coach Erik Spoelstra who has rewarded Ellington’s hot hand with big minutes down the stretch of games. His last three games have seen him average nearly 27 fantasy points and he has scored over 20 in four of his last five games. At just over $5k, we’ll back in Ellington to continue his hot shooting form and produce another solid fantasy score.

Power Forward

Kevin Love ($15,500)

The Cavaliers come up against Brooklyn on Saturday, which means that Kevin Love could have a day out. Brooklyn are easily the worst defence in the league, conceding nearly 115 points per game. Against teams that concede 110 points or more, Love hasn’t dipped below 35 fantasy points and has a ceiling of 64. The Cavaliers have lost six of their past eight games and will be keen to demolish the lowly Nets, which could mean a fantasy score on the higher end of that range for K-Love.

Zach Randolph ($10,250)

With JaMychal Green sidelined with a knee injury, Z-Bo received the starting nod against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday, playing 38 minutes and scoring 29.50 fantasy points. The Grizzlies will play in Portland on Saturday and in Utah on Sunday, meaning that JaMychal Green may be eased back through a minute’s restriction for the back-to-back. This means that Randolph will once again get ample playing time to put up a big fantasy score against a Portland defence that is one of the worst in the league.

Centre

DeMarcus Cousins ($17,250)

Boogie has simply been too good lately to leave out of your fantasy team, dipping below 50 fantasy points just once in his last eight games. In that stretch, he scored 59.50 against the Indiana Pacers, who he will play again on Saturday. With Rudy Gay out for the season, the Kings’ playoff hopes rest solely on DeMarcus Cousins’ shoulders, which means that another big score will be in the offering.
