NBA $7,000 Tuesday Line-Up
Tuesday’s Draftstars contest returns to a full slate, with nine games to choose from for the $7K contest.
Here is a team you may consider for the NBA $7k+ Tuesday competition
Point Guard
John Wall ($17,150)
The Washington point guard has been electric over the past few games, showing off his ability to score in bunches and get to any spot on the court. Wall has seen his numbers increase in the New Year and has now rattled off three double doubles in a row as well as seven in his 11 January games. Wall’s assist and steal numbers have been fantastic and he is averaging an impressive 23.1 points and 10.3 assists on the season. Back in Wall while he is on a hot streak and watch him continue putting up big numbers.
Malcolm Brogdon ($7,450)
The Milwaukee rookie has been impressive and has seen his minutes on the court shoot up every month of the season. His impressive all round play has allowed the Bucks to lean more on him and weather playing in the starting line up or from the bench Brogdon has improved in each game he plays. Now averaging 11 shots per game and a tick under 26 minutes per game Brogdon is a vital part of the Bucks game plan. Brogdon is averaging 12.7 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds over his last six games and he can’t be passed up at this price.
Shooting Guard
Goran Dragic ($13,900)
The Miami guard has been on a tear over the last few games and has been able to lead a poor Het team to some nice wins. The pick and roll he has going with Hassan Whiteside has been great and no matter if he is setting up teammates or finishing himself the end result has normally been successful. Now averaging 21.6 points in January on 52% shooting from the field, Dragic is able to combine this with his pretty passing and average a tick over 6 assists per game. Dragic seems to be full of confidence and expect another strong performance in this one.
J.J Redick ($8,800)
Redick has seen an increase in production on the offensive end as the Clippers battle a number of injuries. We can expect to see Redick have an uptick in offensive production, and having scored over 19 points in 6 of his last 8 games, Redick has used his range from deep as well as his almost automatic shot from the free throw line to pile up the points. Redick is also good for a few assists and rebounds per game and as a result is a strong fantasy option.
Small Forward
Jabari Parker ($13,550)
Parker was moved to the bench in his previous game for Australian Thon Maker but despite this he still played 35 minutes in the game which is right on his season average. Despite Maker starting, expect Parker to slot straight back in as Maker didn’t set the world on fire. Parker has been fantastic this season and has stepped his game up alongside the Bucks other young star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Over his last six games Parker is averaging 19.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game and is always active on both ends of the court. As the Bucks look to bounce back expect Parker to be a big part of the game plan.
Caris LaVert ($5,950)
LaVert continues to impress for the struggling Nets team and the continued absence of Jeremy Lin gives us more reason to believe this will continue. Coming off a super impressive performance against the Pelicans last start he put up 17 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 steal and a block in just under 25 minutes of game time. Performances like this will only give the coaching staff more reason to trust LaVert with more time on the court. Against the Pelicans LaVert didn’t miss a shot and showed his impressive instincts on both ends of the court. Expect the Nets to stick with youth for the rest of the season and LaVert will see a boost in minutes with this.
Power Forward
Clint Capela ($10,800)
The big man from the Rockets is back from his broken ankle and looks to have found his bounce again. In his 3rd game back from injury Capela looked back to his old self as he put up 22 points, 12 rebounds and one each in the assist, steal and block column. In compiling this impressive double-double he looked to have his spring back and moved around the court with ease making the defenders look slow. Look for Capela to jump into this one against the Bucks with a big deal of confidence and he will put up big numbers on both ends of the court.
Frank Kaminsky ($7,900)
The man they call Frank the Tank has been mightily impressive this season and looks to have found his range and position as a NBA player. Kaminsky has the ability to stretch the floor out to the 3 point line and while he has been just under 30% this season from deep his ability to knock down jumpers increases his fantasy value. When Kaminsky is a big part of the offence he looks great and if he hits a few shots early his game flows from that. Kaminsky’s ability to hit from inside and out plus his strong work on the boards should see him put up nice numbers against the Wizards.
Centre
Rudy Gobert ($14,450)
The big man has been on an absolute tear of late, putting up massive numbers in a variety of statistical areas. In his last game Gobert posted an incredible 27 points and 25 rebounds which both registered as career highs. To go with this he had two blocks and Gobert is always active on the defensive end being a prime candidate for Defensive Player of the Year honours. Over the last three games Gobert is averaging a crazy 21.3 points and 20.3 rebounds per game as well as extending his number of games with more than 10 rebounds to 29 games in a row. The big man can be relied upon to put up big numbers and while his confidence is this high you can pick him and watch the fantasy points roll in.
