NFL $5,100 Super Bowl LI Line-Up

tom-brady

Super Bowl LI is the pinnacle of the NFL calendar. After 20 weeks of football, the big dance is once again here, where Atlanta and New England have a chance to create history. If their form this season is anything to go by, the game is set to be a shootout between the two best teams in football – something that can only boost scores for the NFL $5,100 Super Bowl line-up.

Here is a team you may consider for the NFL $5,100+ Super Bowl competition

Quarterback

Tom Brady ($24,850)

Both Brady or Matt Ryan would be serviceable play this week with both compiling elite seasons and will feature heavily in the MVP voting. Brady however, faces a much easier matchup against the Atlanta defence who have allowed the third most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Even in the NFC Championship game, where the Falcons’ defence dismantled the Packers’ offense, Aaron Rodgers still threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in their loss.

Running Back

Tevin Coleman ($11,400)

The third-most expensive running back this week, Coleman is a boom or bust play in the Super Bowl. The Falcons’ offense allows for Coleman to get involved in either the pass or rush game which can only pad his scores. Coleman’s production as of late has been elite, averaging 17.43 points across his past four games, where he has a touchdown in each. If the Patriots double team Julio Jones in the pass game, expect Coleman to see increased production on the outside.

Running Back

James White ($8,700)

White has been quiet with just one score in double digits over the past four games. He’s taken a backseat to Dion Lewis and LeGarrette Blount this season, but could be set to explode on the big stage. The Patriots love passing short in Super Bowls, and White is the best catching Patriot running back on the roster.
julian-edelman

Wide Receiver

Julian Edelman ($17,550)

The Patriots’ short pass game will also benefit Edelman, who is currently averaging 15.5 points per game. He’s been targeted at least 10 times in eight of his last nine games and has over 100 yards receiving in his last three. With a favourable matchup in the slot, Edelman is a must-have this week.

Wide Receiver

Mohamed Sanu ($11,150)

Sanu enters Super Bowl week with a hot streak of red zone form. The Falcons receiver has hauled in a touchdown in each of his last three games, posting three scores in double digits. With Julio Jones likely to receive a lot of attention from Patriot defensive backs during the game, Sanu is the Falcons’ best and most dangerous receiver. If he is able to find pay dirt again, he could be a big winner in daily fantasy.

Tight End

Austin Hooper ($5,000)

Hooper hasn’t had more than five receptions in a game since the end of October, yet remains a steady investment at that basement price. Neither New England, with Rob Gronkowski out, or Atlanta use their tight ends extensively with little appealing options to choose from this week. All tight ends in the game are touchdown or bust prospects, however at more than $6k cheaper than Martellus Bennett, Hooper is a safe option.

Flex

Dion Lewis ($7,400)

Lewis looms as a game changer for the Patriots given he is involved in both the running and pass game on offense, and also does the job on special teams. He produced 24.40 points two weeks ago in the Divisional Round win over Houston, where he found three touchdowns to win the game for the Patriots. In what is likely to be a closer game than the win over Houston, Lewis may get the nod as the true game changer for the Patriots should they need a spark on offense.

Flex

Danny Amendola ($5,800)

Of all the cheaper options available, Amendola has the biggest chance of making an impact. While he has fallen behind Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell in the Patriots receiving core, Amendola has still shown at stages this season he has the ability to produce a score. He has five games this season where he has scored above six points, compared to just Falcons’ tight end Levine Tolilo who has two. Another name which could benefit from the Patriots’ short passing game this week.

Defense

New England Patriots ($7,750)

While they are more expensive than Atlanta’s defence, the extra cash spent on the Patriots is worthwhile. They have scored more points in games than any other defence in the league and rank first for points against. While they may not contain Matt Ryan and the Atlanta offense entirely, expect the New England defence to play an integral role in the game.
