NFL Week 10 $17,500 Lineup Tips
The playoff positions are starting to take shape now we’re half way through the season, and that means critical games this week. There is $17,500 to be won by Draftstars players in our feature contest, so make sure your lineups are in by kick-off at 5.00am AEDT.
The Atlanta Falcons host the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins host the Minnesotta Vikings and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the New York Jets in the games of the week that are likely to have the biggest impact on how many teams are left in the race to play matches beyond the regular season.
We expect the LA Rams to have a strong win with a high score against the Houston Texans, and have set our team up accordingly.
Here are our value players for the NFL $17,500+ Monday competition
Quarterback
Jared Goff ($15,150)
How good is Jared Goff of the LA Rams in 2017? After being 0-7 in 2016 he’s come back as a superstar this year and he’s up against a team this week that has injury issues in its defence. Goff’s 28.44 points last week means his price is hefty, but he’s still our lock for this week with another massive win expected following the 51 points the Rams scored in their last match against the Giants.
Running Back
Todd Gurley ($18,050)
We picked him last week, and his price has gone up by another 1250 or so, but as we mentioned last week Gurley has been a factor in both the running and passing game, taking the pressure off emerging Goff, and we can’t see him going quiet in this one, at home against the Houston Texans.
Running Back
Joe Mixon ($11,400)
Cincinnati Bengal’s Joe Mixon faces Tennessee’s defence, and there have been seven running backs who’ve accumulated at least 30 yards receiving against the Titans this season. Joe Mixon could make it 8.
Wide Receiver
Julio Jones ($16,400)
Jones has an ankle injury cloud over him (so keep an eye on whether he’s a confirmed starter), and he dropped a catch last week that cost a touchdown, which means his ownership might go down this week, but class is permanent and with a massively important game for the Falcons against we’d expect him to both play and be targeted plenty.
Wide Receiver
Corey Davis ($8,800)
We picked Erik Decker last week and he duly made just 21 yards. Corey Davis should get more throws his way, especially with Decker under an illness cloud, so its one Titan for another.
Tight End
Tyler Kroft ($8,150)
Tyler has been really consistent in recent weeks since Tyler Eifert had season ending surgery 3 matches ago and he had to step up to the lead Tight End role. Kroft had 79 yards last week and with some luck could match the 2 touchdowns at Cleveland in early October.
Flex
Marlon Mack ($6,700)
Marlon Mack has been showing promising form in his rookie season, and with Frank Gore in the final year of his contract, perhaps Mack will get more opportunities over the coming weeks to show what he can do. He’s great value if he can get more of the ball this week.
Flex
Sammy Watkins ($9,050)
Last week Watkins had a 67 yard catch, and if the scoreline will be close to the same he’s sure to get some more chances to be targeted by Goff. We’re stacking our team with LA Rams and Watkins is the third of them.
Defense
Tampa Bay Buckaneers ($5,800)
In one of the poorer matchups, there are two teams not very good at scoring points but with OK defence. Since we’ve used up most of our budget, the Buckaneers are a good risk at a bargain price for the defense.
